I am Patricia Padilla. I am a grandmother, mother and wife. My daughter Jessica has two daughters, which we have been blessed with, Julissa and Eliza. My husband Michael retired from Colton Police Department after 31 years of service. My hobbies include spending time with said granddaughters, meeting up with my best friends for dinner and movies, trying to take care of my mom, who has been with us since last year after a couple of accidents and volunteering as much as possible either through the Blue Belles or work.
My service as a Blue Belle began in June 2016. I approached Kasey Castillo to request the Belles assistance in putting together a fundraiser to benefit one of my best friends who had been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. At that time, she was working at Upland Police Department as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. I knew I needed help in putting a plan in motion. Kasey said I too would be able to help put the event together if I signed up to be a Blue Belle which I did without hesitation. I am happy to report my friend has now been cancer free for eight years and is still working as a dispatcher.
My civilian law enforcement career started October 2002 when I was hired as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the City of Colton where I worked for 17 years. I also worked at Ontario Police Department from 2019 – 2020 where I was also hired as a dispatcher. I am currently employed with San Bernardino Police Department as a Police Records Technician. I love what I do and am glad that I am still in a law enforcement setting where I can use the knowledge I have gathered throughout the years when I was in dispatch.
